Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain the pickles and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.
  4. Dip each pickle slice into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the pickles in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with Cool Ranch sauce for dipping.
