Greek Lamb Meatballs with Cucumber Dill Sauce are a flavorful and healthy dish that combines tender lamb meatballs with a refreshing cucumber dill sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the cucumber dill sauce by mixing diced cucumber, Greek yogurt, dill, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  7. Serve the meatballs warm with the cucumber dill sauce on the side.
