- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the cucumber dill sauce by mixing diced cucumber, Greek yogurt, dill, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Serve the meatballs warm with the cucumber dill sauce on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
- These meatballs can be served as an appetizer or main dish.
- Leftover meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
