Description

Korean BBQ Short Ribs (Kalbi) are marinated beef short ribs that are grilled to perfection, offering a sweet and savory flavor that is irresistible.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup minced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, green onions, ginger, sesame seeds, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef short ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the ribs from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off.
  5. Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with rice and your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate the ribs overnight.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar according to your taste.
  • These ribs can also be cooked in the oven if a grill is not available.
