Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter until smooth, then add the eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest, mixing well.

  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
