Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken strips to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Warm the pita breads in a separate pan or microwave.
  5. Assemble the gyros by placing chicken strips in the pita, then adding lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and tzatziki sauce.
  6. Wrap the pita and serve immediately.
