- 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 whole wheat pitas
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup garlic sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the chicken breasts with the marinade and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Warm the pitas on the grill for about 1 minute.
- Assemble the pitas by adding lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and sliced chicken.
- Drizzle garlic sauce over the top and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or olives.
