Description

Miso-Caramel Cheesecake Bars are a unique dessert that combines the savory depth of miso with the sweetness of caramel, creating a delightful treat that is both rich and flavorful.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup miso paste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×9 inch baking pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add miso paste, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce on top and swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set.
  9. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before slicing.

Notes

  • For a stronger miso flavor, increase the amount of miso paste slightly.
