- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups of milk

- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- 1 cup of cooked sausage or bacon, crumbled
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a greased baking dish, layer the cubed bread and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and mustard.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and cheese, ensuring even coverage.
- Sprinkle the crumbled sausage or bacon on top.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, remove the plastic wrap and bake for 45-50 minutes until the casserole is set and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
- This casserole can be made vegetarian by omitting the meat.
