  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brownies according to the recipe or package instructions and let them cool completely.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the peppermint extract and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
  6. Cut the brownies into small squares.
  7. In a trifle dish or individual cups, layer the brownies, peppermint mousse, and crushed peppermint candies.
  8. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and crushed peppermint on top.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
