Description

A delicious and spicy Peri-Peri Chicken Sub Roll that is bursting with flavor, perfect for a quick meal or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons peri-peri sauce
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in peri-peri sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sub rolls by slicing them open.
  5. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of each roll.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, slice it into strips.
  7. Assemble the sub rolls by adding lettuce, tomato, red onion, and chicken strips.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Close the rolls and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more peri-peri sauce to the chicken or as a topping.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite vegetables.
