- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup pesto
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter, warm water, and olive oil.
- Add the flour, salt, pesto, and parmesan cheese to the mixture.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4-6 hours or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf on a baking sheet and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- For a stronger pesto flavor, add more pesto to the dough.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
