Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a large bowl: mix the sourdough discard, warm water, and instant yeast and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Add in the all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and melted butter; stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Fold in minced garlic, chopped parsley, and mozzarella cheese evenly.
- Shape the dough into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough, tear into small pieces, and arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, brush with additional melted butter before baking.
