- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the red velvet cake according to the package instructions.
- Once baked, let the cake cool completely before crumbling it into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
- In a trifle dish, layer the crumbled red velvet cake, followed by a layer of the cream cheese mixture, and then a layer of crushed Oreo cookies.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream cheese mixture on top.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup on top if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use homemade red velvet cake instead of a box mix.
- Feel free to add more layers or toppings as desired.
- Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
