  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the red velvet cake according to the package instructions.
  2. Once baked, let the cake cool completely before crumbling it into small pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. In a trifle dish, layer the crumbled red velvet cake, followed by a layer of the cream cheese mixture, and then a layer of crushed Oreo cookies.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream cheese mixture on top.
  7. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top if desired.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

  • For a richer flavor, use homemade red velvet cake instead of a box mix.
