Description

Savory French Onion Sausage Rolls are a delicious and irresistible snack, combining the rich flavors of French onion soup with savory sausage wrapped in flaky pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage meat
  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sausage meat, caramelized onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut them into rectangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture on one end of each rectangle.
  5. Roll the pastry over the filling to form a log and seal the edges.
  6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
