Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add the onion, carrots, and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, peas, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.
  6. If desired, sprinkle cheese over the mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
