- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup sloppy joe sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and bell peppers until cooked through.
- Stir in the sloppy joe sauce and let simmer for a few minutes.
- In a greased casserole dish, spread the sloppy joe mixture evenly.
- Top with frozen tater tots, arranging them in a single layer.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the beef mixture.
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the sloppy joe mixture.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
