Description

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is a hearty and flavorful dish made with tender beef patties smothered in a rich mushroom gravy, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
  2. In a skillet, brown the patties on both sides over medium heat.
  3. Transfer the browned patties to the slow cooker.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and sliced mushrooms. Pour over the patties in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the gravy to thicken before serving.
