- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- In a skillet, brown the patties on both sides over medium heat.
- Transfer the browned patties to the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and sliced mushrooms. Pour over the patties in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the gravy to thicken before serving.

- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
- Feel free to add vegetables like peas or carrots for extra nutrition.
