- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan generously with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk the melted butter, milk, and eggs together in another bowl.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze and drizzle over the cooled bread before serving.
