- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the mashed sweet potatoes, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
- Place the scones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the scones are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm scones before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
- These scones can be frozen before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from frozen.
