Description

A comforting bowl of sticky beef noodles with tender beef and a sweet, savory glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz wide rice noodles
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Oil, for stir-frying
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Add the sliced beef, ensuring every piece is coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the noodles: Boil water in a large pot, add noodles, and cook according to package instructions for 5-7 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Stir-fry the beef: Heat wok or skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, then toss in marinated beef. Stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté the vegetables: In the same pan, add more oil if needed, then add bell peppers and snap peas. Cook until tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine all ingredients: Add cooked noodles and beef back into the pan. Toss gently until everything is coated with sauce. Heat through for a couple of minutes.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Dish out portions, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the beef a day ahead. Rinse noodles in cold water to avoid sticking.
