Description
A comforting bowl of sticky beef noodles with tender beef and a sweet, savory glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 8 oz wide rice noodles
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Oil, for stir-frying
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Add the sliced beef, ensuring every piece is coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the noodles: Boil water in a large pot, add noodles, and cook according to package instructions for 5-7 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- Stir-fry the beef: Heat wok or skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, then toss in marinated beef. Stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the vegetables: In the same pan, add more oil if needed, then add bell peppers and snap peas. Cook until tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
- Combine all ingredients: Add cooked noodles and beef back into the pan. Toss gently until everything is coated with sauce. Heat through for a couple of minutes.
- Serve and enjoy: Dish out portions, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate the beef a day ahead. Rinse noodles in cold water to avoid sticking.
