Description

Indulge in the warmth and comfort of homemade stuffed shells filled with creamy cheeses and topped with marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain well.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and cream cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Gently stuff each cooked shell with the cheese mixture and place in a baking dish.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce evenly across the bottom of your baking dish.
  6. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish and top with remaining marinara and extra mozzarella.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.

Notes

Make-ahead tips include preparing the filling a day in advance and storing leftovers in an airtight container. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
