Description

A delicious Teriyaki Chicken Sub topped with crunchy sesame slaw, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook the marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sesame slaw by mixing cabbage, carrots, sesame seeds, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, slice it and place it in the sub rolls.
  6. Top the chicken with the sesame slaw.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sliced green onions on top of the slaw.
  • Feel free to use store-bought teriyaki sauce for convenience.
  • This recipe can be easily doubled for larger servings.
