- 2 cans of tuna, drained
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, shredded cheese, mayonnaise, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm, optionally with additional cheese melted on top.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the patties in the oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes instead of frying.
- Feel free to add your favorite herbs or spices to the mixture for extra flavor.
