Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, shredded cheese, mayonnaise, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with additional cheese melted on top.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake the patties in the oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes instead of frying.
  • Feel free to add your favorite herbs or spices to the mixture for extra flavor.
