- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked turkey and spinach mixture with ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the turkey and spinach mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish and top with the remaining marinara sauce and the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers to the filling.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the filling.
